Why Spiritual Healers Should Charge for Their Work
Why Spiritual Healers Should Charge for Their Work
By Luz María Campuzano
I don't like "sales." But it is a necessary part of my business.
I am Soul Prompt's steward. The way I nurture Soul Prompt is through prosperity flow. This is a truth many spiritual healers struggle to accept.
We carry an old belief that spirituality and money should not mix. That charging for healing work somehow diminishes its sacredness. That if we truly cared, we would give our gifts freely.
This belief is not serving us. It is not serving our clients. It is not serving the future of spiritual healing.
It is time to shift this.
The Hidden Cost of Free Healing Services
Healers who don't charge for their services create an imbalance in prosperity flow. I learned this truth at Spiritual Arts Institute during my metaphysical training, and it changed everything.
When a healer gives constantly without receiving, several things happen.
The healer can no longer afford their bills. Their services, which are deeply needed, run the risk of becoming unavailable. The healer slips into poverty consciousness and cannot vibrate at their highest frequency when they are worried about rent, food, or survival.
Others lack funds for marketing and cannot reach the people who need them most. Still others must take second jobs to meet financial responsibilities. This creates a disservice to those meant to benefit from their gifts.
All of this because we feel wrong for collecting money for sacred work.
But I say it is our sacred responsibility to charge. To be good stewards of that money. To use it in ways that help us serve more people, reach further, and create greater impact.
We Are Building the Golden Age of Spirituality
Many of us incarnated at this time to lay the groundwork for future generations. We are here to help humanity step fully into a life vibrating from love. We can only do that if we heal as a collective.
Good healers with divine intentions need support. They need resources. They need the means to reach as many people as possible.
Right now, we are being called to heal collectively. It starts with each of us healing ourselves before we can heal others.
At some point, you will be called to go deeper. You will need to find the healer you are destined to work with. If that healer is working three jobs to survive, or has shut their business down completely, your journey becomes harder. You may never find them.
On a personal level, when clients invest in my services, it allows me to offer sessions pro bono to those who are struggling and meant to work with me. When my business thrives, I can hold space for more people. When it struggles, I have nothing left to give.
Prosperity allows expansion. Poverty creates contraction.
For Healers: Examine Where This Belief Lives
If you feel resistance to charging for your work, ask yourself where that belief came from.
Is this your belief, or was it programmed into you? Is it part of an old religious or cultural conditioning that says spiritual work should be free?
Think of all the hard work it took to forge your craft. The time, money, and resources you invested into your own growth, healing, and education. Truly consider the process of becoming what you are today. What sacrifices did you make? What did you give up to get here?
What bills are you paying to offer your services? What resources do you need to sustain your business? Is your service truly beneficial for others and their growth?
Does what you are charging match what you are giving?
It is all about balance. The universe always seeks balance.
Prosperity Flow Is Sacred Energy
One of the greatest energies we are meant to learn to harness in this lifetime is prosperity flow.
At Spiritual Arts Institute, I learned something that shifted my entire understanding of prosperity flow.
The imbalance does not come from offering free services when you are guided to. I offer sessions pro bono when spirit leads me to, and those clients honor the work deeply. The exchange is complete on a soul level.
The imbalance occurs when there is a pattern of taking without any form of reciprocity. When someone does not show up fully to the work. When there is no commitment or investment, energetic or otherwise. When the healer gives beyond their capacity while the other person takes without honoring what is being offered. When this becomes a constant one-way flow over time.
Money is one form of exchange, but it is not the only form. Exchange can be energetic, reciprocal, heart-centered. What matters is that both people honor what is being offered and received, and that the flow moves in both directions.
For Those Seeking Healing: Your Side of the Exchange
There is someone offering you their services who has the ability to truly change your life. Yet you feel they should give you their time, energy, and talents without asking for anything in return.
When did it become okay to take without any thought of returning?
Where did you learn that behavior? How has that frame of mind played out in other aspects of your life?
What price would you put on a session that frees you of trauma, old wounds, and stuck energies? What is it worth to learn tools for self healing and releasing patterns that have been holding you back for years, lifetimes, generations?
What price tag would you put on a spiritual, mental, and physical breakthrough?
You pay your doctors, psychologists, and therapists without question. Why do you expect spiritual healers to give you their services for very little or nothing at all?
Wouldn't you want to support work that transforms lives? Wouldn't you want to see these services thrive so they can reach others who need them?
What You Are Really Paying For
When you invest in spiritual healing, you are not just paying for someone's time.
You are honoring the years of training. The depth of their own healing journey. The wisdom they have cultivated. The sacred space they hold for you.
You are also honoring yourself. You are saying, "I am worth this investment. My healing matters. My transformation matters."
That commitment changes everything. It signals to your soul that you are serious. It activates a level of engagement that free services rarely touch.
When you invest, you show up differently. You receive differently. You integrate differently.
This is not about greed. This is about honoring the flow of energy that sustains all life.
What Happens When Healers Thrive
When a healer is financially supported, they can focus fully on their work. They can continue their education. They can invest in better tools, deeper training, more self healing. They can market their services so the right people find them. They can offer sliding scale or pro bono sessions to those who truly cannot afford it.
When a healer thrives, the entire community benefits.
When a healer is struggling, burnt out, or forced to abandon their calling, everyone loses. The people who needed that healer never find them. The gifts that healer came here to offer disappear.
Prosperity Consciousness Is Spiritual Growth
Prosperity consciousness is not separate from spiritual growth. It is part of it.
Learning to receive with grace is just as sacred as learning to give. Learning to value your own gifts is holy work. Learning to honor the exchange of energy keeps the flow moving for everyone.
Money is not inherently spiritual or unspiritual. It is neutral. It is energy. How we use it, how we relate to it, how we allow it to flow through us determines its impact.
If you are a healer, you are allowed to charge for your work. You are allowed to thrive. You are allowed to be supported. This does not diminish your gifts. It honors them.
If you are seeking healing, investing in your transformation is one of the most sacred acts you can take. It honors the healer. It honors yourself. It honors the work.
The New Paradigm
We are building the foundation for the Golden Age of spirituality.
That foundation requires healers who are supported, nourished, and able to serve from overflow rather than depletion.
It requires clients who understand that investing in their healing is investing in the collective healing of humanity.
It requires all of us to shift our relationship with money and see it for what it truly is: a tool for expansion, a form of energy exchange, and a means to support the work that raises consciousness on this planet.
Prosperity and spirituality are not opposites. They are partners.
When we honor that partnership, we all rise.
With so much love and gratitude,
Luz María
